Boxy, utilitarian, practical, storage capacity, and affordable. These are the trademarks of the Scion xB that was produced from 2004 - 2015. If you're searching for a value-driven used crossover SUV or van at a reasonable price, you may want to consider an xB. The 2.4-liter engine is shared with the Toyota Camry and is capable of producing 158 horsepower. Unfortunately, the xB doesn't get good fuel economy and you'll rarely earn more than 30 miles per gallon. Offered in both a 4-speed automatic transmission (yes, weird we know) or a 5-speed manual transmission, the "box on wheels" xB excels at maximizing cargo space at a thrift-store price. The last model year only came in one trim that included such features as air conditioning, power accessories, cruise control, a first-aid kit, a tilt-telescopic steering wheel, a rear-view backup camera and a 6-speaker Pioneer audio system with a touchscreen, HD radio, and iPod/USB and Bluetooth connectivity. 2015 was the first year that a back-up rear view camera was offered.
