Actress Greta Lee was born in Los Angeles, she attended college in Chicago, then moved to New York to begin her career. Her screen debut came on an episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-), before she appeared in the pilot episode of the relaunch of the children's show "The Electric Company" (PBS, 2006-11). After a slow period, her career began to pick up after a small role in the Melanie Lynskey dramedy "Hello I Must Be Going" (2012). After picking up TV credits with appearances on "Nurse Jackie" (Showtime, 2009-15) and "Royal Pains" (USA, 2009-16), she began appearing in a recurring role on Lena Dunham's "Girls" (HBO, 2012-16). Her Soojin was the assistant to Jorma Taccone's artist, before being fired by her naked boss for eating his ice cream. She continued stringing together parts, including appearing in "St. Vincent" (2014), with Melissa McCarthy and Bill Murray, and Adam Sandler's "The Cobbler" (2014). She began appearing on a regular basis on the sketch comedy show "Inside Amy Schumer" (Comedy Central, 2013-16), and starred alongside Amy Sedaris in the web series "Seriously Distracted" (2014). She then joined Zooey Deschanel's sitcom "New Girl" (Fox, 2011-18) in a recurring role as a love interest for Jake Johnson's Nick. Continuing her run of working with comedy superstars, she appeared in the Tina Fey-Amy Poehler comedy "Sisters" (2015). Stepping outside of comedy, she took roles in the mystery "Wayward Pines" (Fox, 2015-16) and the Hugh Laurie drama "Chance" (Hulu, 2016-17). After having previously appeared in the web series, she also had a memorable guest role on Ben Sinclair's sitcom "High Maintenance" (HBO, 2016-). Similarly, she enjoyed a guest arc on the hit drama "The Good Fight" (CBS All Access, 2017-) opposite Christine Baranski. On film, she starred in the romantic comedy "In a Relationship" (2018) with Emma Roberts. After appearing in the pilot for Natasha Lyonne sitcom "Russian Doll" (Netflix, 2019-), she joined with former "Girls" producer Jason Kim for a development deal with HBO with the goal of producing projects focused on Asians.
